Dr. Álvaro Aragón did his PhD studies at the analysis by LC-GC coupling Research Group in Albacete, University of Castilla-La Mancha (2014). He has mainly focused on method development and his research has been using multidimensional chromatographic techniques, such as on-line coupling LC-GC via TOTAD interface. Currently is a Junior Researcher with a postdoc fellowship in the department of Chemistry and Biology of Institute for Environmental Studies at the VU University Amsterdam. Alvaro is working on a FP7 project, DENAMIC. This project investigates neurotoxic effects of low-concentration mixtures of pesticides and a number of common environmental pollutants in children. Particularly, he is developing an analytical method for Dopamine and others neurotransmitters.
