Summary

Dr J. M. Herranz is responsible of this section and current director of the Botanical Institute. Since 1983 he has conducted research projects in different thematic areas of Botany and Plant Ecology; chorology distribution of vascular plants, fire ecology, preservation of endangered flora and preservation of seeds. As a result of these projects has been created a seed bank.  This seed bank was installed in 2010 at the Botanical Institute of the UCLM and constitutes the core of the activity of this section.
